These were real people living in the real world during the depression and World War 2. The skinny children in the pic are my brothers and my sister and myself. We ate good food but there was just enough. Not a lot of extras. We had no idea we were living in a depression. This was just the world as children see it and we had fun and freedom and safety that not many children have today. And I include the English speaking countries all over.
