McArthur Family

SEPTEMBER 2010 OLD AND NEW BEGINNINGS

Hard to believe I will be 85 in December, as my father used to say, "God Willing and the Creek don't rise.". I intend to write more about my childhood and add some pictures. I sometimes have good plans and intentions but don't follow through. Here is hoping that I do what I plan.

This is a collage of the Anderson-McArthur-Arnott family of many years. \
It includes the ship, Columbia where our grandmother McArthur sailed to New York from Scotland in 1923.
It also includes cousins ,Chris McArthur Ruckdeshcel and family around 2006.

And Jenny Stoddart and Margaret Arnott David a few years ago.
The top right has The Arnott family in 1939 at Seaside Heights, NJ.
This was 6 months before our mother Christina McArthur Arnott dies suddenly in Dec. 10, 1939.
Included are the five Arnott children at different stages. One picture includes our sister Jean Arnott who died at five years of age.

There is also a scene of Kilbowie Rd, Clydebank where our Grandparent Arnotts lived for many years. Four of our ex-houses are included. Three of them in Kearny NJ. and one in North Arlington NJ.

There is one of Jack Arnott and his sisters, Catherine and Margaret. Catherine aka Chris and Margaret aka Peg.
